Last night to the city for fireworks and hanging out. While I appreciate the craftsmanship that went into Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow - that somebody would try to build a working replica of a 30s pulp movie is roughly equivalent to somebody trying to build a Supermarine Spitfire in their garage - I must admit that it is about as bad and cheesy as you would expect from said 30s pulp. But hell, I still enjoy it. Also saw half of the first Dalton Bond movie, speaking of bad and cheesy - and I still think it was a much better and plausible premise than the usual "death-laser-destroys-the-world" gimmick we got from the late Moore era (and an unfortunate amount of Brosnan, who is looking worse and worse with every repeated viewing of Casino Royale).
...whether to renew the Sunday Ticket next year? If I'm the only fan in the house next year, I question whether it will be worth it to buy it for one team - especially when I'd rather hear the radio guys doing the game on the Sirius, complete with local ads and a built-in excuse to go for a ride. And especially when I have no interest whatsoever in the NFL other than in my one team. (Well, one and a half, if you include the bandwagoneering below.)
What TV show(s) will you be watching this season? Why?

Well, obviously the big story is Studio 60. That's huge. New BSG and Who are also going to be nice. Other than that, though, the only new stuff worth watching are the new games every weekend. Although now that I think of it, it might be interesting to see SNL now that they have the meta-effect from S60 and 30 Rock going on...
